Long-distance move from London, Greater London to London, Greater London

Never choose uk easyremoval.

Uk easyremoval after visiting our flat (2beds) sent us the quote (£350). By email I specified that this quote included everything and the VAT what the company confirmed. I packed everything in boxes and protected small items myself.As soon as we arrived to the new property they ordered me to pay £350 but as well, an extra for a wrapping (sofa, table, cupboard,..)and because they had to walked more than 20meters from the van to the flat ( the van was parked in front of the buildings!). They knew exactly how it was because they did a viewing. They hide those extra costs. After disputing the removal man said the extra cost will be £150 and that he won't delivery the furnitures if we don't pay it. We called the company they did not answer. I never post any review but those methods are so disgusting. I don't want that uk easyremoval keep earning money using those methods!

House move.

Cannot agree more with the previous comments. This company is diabolical. Their service is way below standard.   Having messed up our move with a catalogue of errors, too many to go into in detail, we put in an insurance claim to cover the items they had stolen (very blatently) and damaged.   Sanjay emailed us to say the claim was going through and would be settled in 28 days, however two months later, their phones are disconnected, website removed, premises vacated and they have clearly done a runner. I assume they stole as much as possible from as many customers as possible, before shutting down and presumably opening up in another city to rip off a new set of customers. We have now had to involve the police in this matter.   If you ever come across a Massimo or Sanjay in this business - DO NOT LET THEM NEAR YOUR HOME.    .

Fully satisfied customer.

Wonderful service! They made a very stressful task so much easier. I moved from East to South London with 1-bedroom flat worth of staff and the move was only £160 (I did my own packing). I had lots of bits and pieces and they happily carried everything up two lots of stairs in perfect condition. Very friendly and polite staff. I fully recommend them.

Late and Damaged - would not recommend.

I used a comparison website to find a removal company. I received multiple calls from LondonUKRemoval in regards to the quote that they sent me.
I decided to go with LondonUKRemoval as they appeared to be very competitive.
Day of Pick Up – On time and loaded the van. They wrapped a few items that we had told them via email before the pick up would be required to be collected. Once they had loaded the van they then asked for a further £95 (£40 for wrapping and £55 for additional items). I paid the £95 but could not understand why we had to pay for the wrapping but understood an additional amount should be paid for items that I had forgotten from the initial emails. At no point was I informed that a sofa and two cupboards would need to be wrapped even though they were in the original quote.
Day  of Delivery – I asked for an early drop off 12-1 but Sanjay in the email correspondence stated that 14:00- 16:00 was a more realistic time slot for them to make the delivery.
15:45 came on the day of delivery and there was no sign of the delivery team. I called Sanjay in the office and he was unaware that the delivery was delayed or the reason for the delay. He spoke with the driver and Sanjay stated that the delivery would be made in the next two hours more likely to be 17:30 and this was due to adverse weather. I explained that we had two other companies make deliveries to us without any delay. I raised the issue of the wrapping with him at this point.
Sanjay said that the office closes at 17:00 and I asked for the number of the driver, he said he would send this to me and also get the driver to call me. At 16:45 I still had not received the number nor the courtesy phone call so I called him again, he sent me a text with the number.
At 17:30 there was no sign of the driver and I called the number. Sanjay had provided me with a number y that was one digit short. I called Sanjay mobile and text him asking for the correct number and heard nothing back from him. I went online to view the website and found it was down for maintenance.
18:00 came and went, 18:30 came and went. Finally I received a call from the driver to say they would be with us at 20:00! 4 hours after the original time slot which Sanjay had already moved.
They arrived and offered no apology. When questioned they made no reference to the weather but said to speak with the office as they had a full book of work and the delay was the number of jobs they had.
They started to unload started to walking into the lounge which was carpeted. I asked if they could remove their shoes as they were damaging the carpet with muddy shoes. They said the can not due to health and safety (John Lewis came to deliver and assemble a bed, their workers removed their shoes as they said they did not want to mark the new carpets), I asked whether they had protective covers for their shoes (sky came and they provide their workers with blue plastic slip ons over their workers boots). I was told they did not have these but do have dust sheets. In the end I ended up  carrying the mattress up the stairs and the dust sheets were put in the lounge but they didn’t manage to stay on those.
I asked one of the team to be more gentle with the items as he was throwing boxes onto the floor and on top of each other.  He then became rather aggressive with my wife when she asked him to be careful with the carpets.
After unpacking we found 3 items to be broken and one item chipped, there was also muddy footprints on our new carpets and a mark on the wall.
I contacted Sanjay the next day who was still unaware that the delivery did not take place at the set time of 17:30 and he didn’t even know what time it had taken place. I pressed him for a refund on the wrapping and in regards to the late delivery and damage. Many calls and emails later we are not going to receive any money back for the damage or the poor service.
Sanjay keeps referring to a manager who makes the decisions and this manager has not called me and Sanjay “can not make him call me”.

Summary – Poor, the worst customer service, damage to our items and no customer care.
I would never use or recommend these people to my worst enemy let alone a friend.

My review.

Damage of furniture/lighting-/delayed tactics regarding dealing with compensation/denial of responsible.
Ref: g0312050
My removal was 22/03/2012 a short distance, less than 20-min to my new home and took the entire day -from 830-1700 due to the regular breaks taken. To date I am still waiting for my matter to be sorted out by the company. X3 guys turned up, no distinguishing uniform, and before they started they began advising me of "Extra costs for parking etc. Which they had not previously stated /mentioned.
From a quote of £230.00, I ended up paying £500 plus with packaging as extra and yet this packaging was not used.They left with a full role of the plastic bubble wrap as they stated they needed it for their next client.They also ran out of boxes and I had to buy striped bags and boxes from the local shops to pack my stuff. Some guys packed while others sat around even with me assisting them with the packing. They brought smaller boxes than I thought they would and when this was queried they stated that the bigger boxes were more difficult to carry. I question if that was so or if it was more convenient and profitable as smaller boxes, more boxes, more costs?
The removal guys demonstrated:
No experience -by the way, they packed& stored my possessions and had to be reminded to label the boxes;
They did not know how to dismantle some items/furniture making carrying and moving more tedious for themselves;
They packed the truck in such way that they needed to do x2 trips instead of one (only advising me later that as they "Needed" to do x2 trips the cost would be more;
They requested that I pay the rest of payment prior after they did the 1st load and prior to the 2nd load & the completed removal instead of at the completion as promised because "The boss was going off", and would be upset and "Because some customers do not want to a pay once offloading if they noticed things were damaged.
Therefore they are instructed to collect monies prior to moving and offloading final load". And yet this is not what is stated when agreeing to their services. Out of trust and decency, I paid little realizing that there was a plan or method to this request or behavior as they had already damaged my stuff and realized this. They damaged items because they were improperly packed, stored in the van and carelessly handled even when they were advised to use caution. The lamp and lights were damaged in the process of them were carrying this in and this my husband pointed out to them immediately and advised them to inform their boss which they did not do. I had to call when I received no callback. They then said they would attend to insurance cover/compensation but used many delaying tactics until threatened with legal action, whereafter they then sent their guy to my home who tried lying to me and tried denying responsibility. But eventually, their guy/worker stated that the boss said he needs to reduce the cost as they would not now how to pay for it, therefore his initial denial then request for me to reduce the claim. He/the employee/removal guy, then stated he would come and fix things himself to reduce costs. I received no follow-up from the manager.Sanjay, but after waiting a week, e-mailed him and was advised that he -Sanjay has to speak to his boss. Prior to this Sanjay had advised me that:
The matter was being dealt with by the insurance company and that he had spoken to the relevant people involved.
Only for him to recently state that he:
Needed to speak with his guys;
His boss;
The insurance;
When I called the online company number I was advised by a female employee, that Sanjay is the boss! Are these not only delaying tactics, lack of professionalism, lack of acknowledgment of responsibility and lies that the company is professional and does it really have insurance cover? The sale speech is good, however, they do not deliver. Please avoid them and in this way prevent yourself all the stress and disillusionment in human nature especially when you want to give people a chance and their write-up appears so good.
My mistake.. I fell for the lies.

Awful company.

We received a competitive quote for removals and storage so transferred a deposit. 3 days before the move we receive an email saying they have decided that the price agreed was too cheap and want to charge an additional £250. Surely if you've given a written quote and been more than happy to take the deposit.
We have found an alternative company at short notice as if uk removals can't get a quite agreed between themselves I do not trust them with my property.
I must add I am never normally one to post negative reviews or make complaints but this was unacceptable.

Excellent Job in London.

Very pleased with the company. Having moved many times before both local and overseas, this one is up with the best when combining price, service and communication. We moved a 5 bedroom house locally over two days for £1500 (packing and transport, materials included). All personnel very friendly and experienced. In particular when the move took longer than budgetted, the team did not get into a mad rush, but was happy to work longer (in good spirit) taking proper care of our items. We did not find any damage or otherwise and furniture was properly put together on arrival. I was in particular impressed to see a number of IKEA cupboard making it in good shape to the other side - I have experienced differently. Payment was taking of our debit card as agreed with no hidden extras. Do read the terms and conditions carefully though to make sure that you understand what you pay for - for example covering carpets to avoid staining is not included. Overall a very good experience based on which I would certainly recommend this company.  .

Threatening my wife.

1, My neighbour and I have been in contact with my solicitor regarding the wing mirror we have been informed to contact the police as we both witnessed the incident, we would like you to give us the names and addresses of the driver and the 3 members of the team so we can pass there names on to the  the police .   2, Regarding the furniture you damaged, can you please state what the insurance  covered because I was very clear with the guy how came around to survey my house that I wanted cover for damage and reassured  that it was the case ,also by you team leader on the day he picked up the deposit, my wife was concerned aboult the mirror and we was told not to worry we have blankets ?. whilst speaking to my solicitor regarding me and my wife felling  (threatened) and at best (forced into a corner)  during the move regarding the miscalculation of your saviour, also he noticed while looking into your policy that you had no legal wright to force us to pay more money so we could complete the move so we are looking to bring criminal charges to you your company  and the team leader who took the money.   I would also like to add that you ruined our families dream move through your threats regarding extra payment and your lies by the you and your staff regarding the cover we had for our furniture.   I hope that you could find it in your self to apologise to my wife for what the effect your company has had on her through this ordeal.

Damage, Missing and incomplete.

The original approach to UK London Removals was through a website where I requested quotes for removals.  I was contacted by phone by sales man Sanjay.  His sales patter was very good and they could move me on the day required.The packing day started well when 3 packers turned up at 8:30am with boxes and packing equipment. Packing started straight away and all of the boxes were labled with the room that the contents belonged to.Altough they offered a dismantle service they did not have the correct tools to perform this. I had to lend a hand and tools. Packing of most of my possessions was complete at the end of the day. I only needs to pack a few things that had been left lose.Removals day they turned up with a small truck and promised that another larger truck was on its way, this turned up later in the day. Packing of the truck was in such a way that they could get as much as possible in and the boxes were crammed in.They also moved my large wardrobes complete down the stairs an impressive feat that only marked the walls slighlty although I had asked they to dismantle as new property had a very small staircase and landing.As the first truck was not big enough they had to return with the larger truck again after it had been unloaded into storage.I paid for the first part of the removals into storage when requested asking where my possessions had been stored. I was told Access Storage Wimbledon (They do not have their own storage facilities that a larger removals company has) so I arranged for insurance at this location.   This is where things started to go wrong.I was informed by mail the following week that at the last minute Access Storage Wimbledon did not have enough space 400sqft and that my goods were now located in Storage King Mitcham.  I could not get a refund £66 on my storage insurance and UK London Removals only offered £16.50 which covered week where they had not informed me of a change to the storage of my goods.I asked how my possessions had been stored and if they were in a large storage for just my possessions, I did not get a reply on this.I did however get a email letting me know that after the discounted 2 month period of storage £390 that they reservered the right to increase the cost.  When I requested a quote for an additional 2 months I was told that it would be £650 per month!!  I tried to negotiate and even checked the cost directly with Storage King 25% less for 4 personal storage cupboards. When I tried to arrange the 2nd part  of my move I had to negotiate hard to get the day I wanted even with a months notice and recieved several calls asking me to move it to a sunday afternoon.  Moving day arrived and the first small van turned up at 3pm and they started to unload my goods.  When they checked the house and position of main bedroom they said that they could not get the wardrobes in and would need to dismantle them. They asked to put them in the garage and would do this later on.  When it came to dismantle them 7pm  they said that there was now not enough room in the bedroom to reassemble them as its full of boxes and asked if they could leave them where they were. I also noticed that 2 of them had been broken, bottom kick plate had been pulled off one and the other had been split at teh top, I told them to inform the Boss "Sanjay" of the damage whilst they were on the phone to him.At the end of they move I was asked to pay the tolls for the Severn Bridge. I refused as they knew the location when I booked the move.  Sanjay then spent 10 minutes telling me it was in the contract that parking costs and this included tolls were payable on demand.  I agreed to pay £20 to show good will.They left not reassembling any furniture at 8pmAfter they left I surveyed the large stack of boxes in each room and all looked like it was present but how do you tell before unpacking? Next day I noticed that a large 2mX 2m oak bookcase was missing and my bandsaw (large bit of kit). This got me worried, how is it possible to not empty a storage room? Through the next week I unpacked and noticed that a large picture was missing and that one of the matresses delivered was not mine!!THEY USE SHARED STORAGE AND DO NOT LABLE YOUR GOODS.  THEY OBVIOUSLY DO NOT KEEP THEM SEPERATE FROM OTHER PEOPLES POSSESSIONSALL OF MY FURNITURE HAS BEEN DAMAGED.  The matresses all came back with black dirty marks on them where they have been dragged into and out of vans and storage.  All of the furniture has scratches on it where its been dragged and not lifted.  My Oak dining table although bubble wrapped (at my insistence) has a gouge in the side and the bubble wrap torn, large dresser has a gouge in the front, side table has gouge in top where something has been stacked on it, 2 leather dining chairs came back wet!!Took 2 weeks to arrange for missing furniture to be returned, first 2 dates cancelled by them.  when the goods did turn up they were very quick to drop off the picture and funiture and swap wrong mattress for mine. Upon unwrapping the picture I find a recipt for new glass that has been fitted the day before, frame and picture are both damaged.I have noticed today that my barbeque (large) has not been delivered. I have requested several times by email details of insurance and how they intend to compensate me for the damage but have not received any response.  DO NOT USE THEM, THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL REMOVALS COMPANY.  THEY USE PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITIESTHEY DO NOT KEEP YOUR POSSESSIONS SEPERATE FROM OTHER PEOPLESTHEY DAMAGE ALL YOUR GOODS YOU RECEIVE NO COMMUNICATION FROM THEM ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY.
